Trip Itinerary

  • Phase 1:: Arrival & Preparation (Kathmandu) – Days 1–4
    Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, visa processing, gear check.
    Day 2–3: Briefing at Nepal Mountaineering Association, final preparations.
    Day 4: Fly to Tumlingtar (460m), drive to Chichila (1,980m).
  • Phase 2:: Trek to Makalu Base Camp (Days 5–15)
    Day 5–12: Trek through Num, Seduwa, Tashi Gaon, Khongma Danda (3,500m).
    Day 13–15: Acclimatization at Makalu Base Camp (4,800m).
  • Phase 3: : Climbing Period (Days 16–50)
    Day 16–20: Set up higher camps (Camp 1 at 5,800m, Camp 2 at 6,400m).
    Day 21–40: Rotations for acclimatization, fixing ropes, pushing to Camp 3 (7,400m).
    Day 41–45: Weather window wait for summit push.
    Day 46–48: Summit attempt (8,485m). Day 49–50: Descend to Base Camp.
  • Phase 4: Return to Kathmandu (Days 51–55)
    Day 51–53: Trek back to Tumlingtar.
    Day 54: Fly to Kathmandu.
    Day 55: Debriefing & celebration.
