Trip Itinerary

  • Day 1–3: Arrival & Preparation
    Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400m), gear check, briefing. Day 2: Sightseeing, permits, final preparations. Day 3: Drive to Besishahar (760m) → Chame (2,710m) via jeep (8–9 hrs).
  • Day 4–9:: Acclimatization Trek
    Day 4: Trek to Upper Pisang (3,300m) – 5–6 hrs. Day 5: Acclimatization hike to Pisang Peak BC (4,380m). Day 6: Trek to Manang (3,540m) – 4–5 hrs. Day 7: Acclimatization in Manang (hike to Gangapurna Lake/Ice Cave). Day 8: Trek to Yak Kharka (4,000m) – 3–4 hrs. Day 9: Trek to Chulu West Base Camp (4,900m) – 4–5 hrs.
  • Day 10–20: Climbing Period
    Day 10–12: Acclimatization rotations (load carries to High Camp). Day 13: Rest at BC, summit strategy session. Day 14–17: Move to High Camp (5,300m), summit push (6,419m). Summit Day: 8–12 hrs (depart ~2 AM, return to BC same day). Day 18–20: Contingency days (weather/conditions).
  • Day 21–25: Return & Thorong La Crossing
    Day 21: Trek to Thorong Phedi (4,540m) – 5–6 hrs. Day 22: Cross Thorong La Pass (5,416m) → Muktinath (3,800m) – 7–8 hrs. Day 23: Drive to Tatopani (1,200m) via jeep. Day 24: Trek to Ghorepani (2,860m) – 6–7 hrs. Day 25: Sunrise at Poon Hill (3,210m) → Drive to Pokhara.
  • Day 26–28:: Return to Kathmandu
    Day 26: Fly/drive to Kathmandu. Day 27: Debrief, celebration. Day 28: Departure.

Key Notes:
Technical Sections: Fixed ropes often required on the summit ridge.

Altitude Risks: Proper acclimatization is critical (AMS/HAPE/HACE monitoring).

Permits: Requires Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP), TIMS, and climbing permit from NMA.
