Lobuche Peak, located near Everest in Nepal's Khumbu region, features two main summits: East (6,119m) and West (6,145m). The East Peak is a popular, technical "trekking peak" often used for preparation before higher ascents, offering panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for this challenging climb.

Trip Itinerary

  • Day 1-3: Arrival & Trek Preparation
    Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (1,400m), gear check, and briefing.
    Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,860m), trek to Phakding (2,610m).
    Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m), acclimatization.
  • Day 4-7:: Acclimatization & Approach
    Day 4: Acclimatization hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880m).
    Day 5: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m), visit the monastery.
    Day 6: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m), rest day.
    Day 7: Acclimatization hike to Nangkartshang Peak (5,083m).
  • Day 8-10:: Lobuche & High Camp
    Day 8: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m).
    Day 9: Move to Lubuche Base Camp (~4,900m).
    Day 10: Climb to High Camp (~5,400m), prepare for summit.
  • Day 11: Summit Day (6,119m) & Return
    Early start (~2 AM) for the summit push via glacier and snow slopes.
    Descent to Base Camp or Lobuche for rest.
  • Day 12-14: : Return to Lukla & Kathmandu
    Day 12-13: Trek back via Pheriche & Namche.
    Day 14: Fly to Kathmandu, celebration dinner.
