Your trekking preparation:
This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not expected high altitude sickness. However you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary.
We suggest you to strengthen your knee muscles and prepare for several days of steep descents. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, biking or aerobics is recommended, but mostly hiking on steep hills or running up and down steps are preferable.
Please note that the following program is prepared in the fact basis however can be change in some circumstances but adjustments will have to made during the trekking. We request you to be flexible with the situation to enjoy yourself. As the trek is designed for camping arrangement, everything is handled by our team of porters, sherpas and cooks who carry the equipment, assemble and dissemble the camp and have hot meals waiting for you at every food break.
Any trek in this region is an experience to remember for everyone in lifetime. The famous trekking routes of this region are- Jomsom/Muktinath trail, Annapurna circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Gorepani/Ghandruk loop, Sikles/Lamjung Himal loop, and Upper Mustang. The best time to trek there in Spring and Autumn seasons of the year however some parts can be trek all the year round even in monsoon days and winter.
Day 01: Departure by bus for Besishar (950m) from Kathamandu.
Day 02: Departure from Bensisahar for Nagdi. 930m
Day 03: Nagdi for Jagat. 1300m
Day 04: Jagat for Dharapani .1943m
Day 05: Dharapani for Chame. 2713m
Day 06: Chame, départ for Pisang. 3292m
Day 07: Pisang, for Manang. 3351m
Day 08: Manang, Rest day for acclimatization and visit to Manag Gumpa.
Day 09: Manang Departure for Tilicho base camp 5 to 6h.(Night under Tent)
Day 10: Tilicho base camp Departure for Tilicho lake . 4820m- 5h (Under Tent)
Day 11: Tilicho lake Departure for Khangsar. 3734m- 6h (Under Tent)
Day 12: Khangsar for Thorong Phedi. 4910m
Day 13: Thorong Phedi for Muktinath 3798m, 8h, while passing by the collar of Thorong The to 5415m. This stage is particular violent wind bus begin in the collar from 8 hs of the morning... It is necessary to leave therefore about of Thorong Phedi to 2h of the morning to pass the collar in time. It is necessary to foresee some electric lamps therefore (frontal so possible) to be able to walk about of night during 3 hs. (to foresee spare batteries).
Day 14: Muktinath for Jomsom.
Day 15: Fly to Pokhara
Day 16: Pokhara departure by Tourist bus for Kathmandu, returne to same hotel. (Hotel Included)
