Rafting in Nepal
 

Kayakin in Nepal:

Nepal is the perfect destination for kayaking with its wide range of rivers and wealth of challenging rapids, Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced white water kayaker keen to tackle one of our more challenging rivers, we can arrange a fun and rewarding kayaking experience for you.

Kayaking clinic/School:
We can teach everything you need to know. Paddle strokes, river maneuvers, rolling, reading water, whitewater and kayak safety. We have all the latest equipment and would love to teach you. We are internationally trained and internationally experienced instructors with European and Nepalese certifications.

Come to Nepal and experience the excitement of white water kayaking. On the basic four-day course(longer courses are also popular and can be easily arranged) our instructors start you off with basic skills in calm water and build from there. The course progresses at your own pace, giving you a solid grounding in safe kayaking principles. By the end of the four days you will be able to read the water, maneuver your kayak through the rapids and have fun on any river.

Upon completion of your course, you are welcome to join us one of the our short or long trip with raft support.

Suggested Itinerary 1

Day 1-2: Pick up from the airport and Transfer to the Hotel, rest of the day sort out all necessary things for Kayaking trips.
Day 3: Drive to Bhotekoshi (Lamusangu) approxmately 3 hours drive with Private bus rest of the day warm up Paddle in Lower section of Bhotekoshi..
Day 4-6: Continue Paddle on the Upper Sun Koshi (Lower part of Bhotekoshi)
Day 7: After Lunch drive Back to Kathmandu.
Day 8: Fly to Pokhara Rest and, Warm up Paddling at Lake full day with our Crews
Day 9-10: Drive to Damuli for Kayak the seti from Damauli with raft support, trip end at Gaighat and drive to Pokhara.
Day 11-15: Drive to Kali Gandaki, Lower section camp at River bank it is one of the best section for Kayaking and too see wild life activites.
Day 16: Continue down the Narayani to Chitwan natinal park and Transfer with jeep to Camp..
Day 17-18: you can rest here or take activities in Chitwan National park.
Day 19: Paddle easy bit of the Trisuli – then back to Kathmandu.

Suggested Itinerary 2

Day 1-2: Arrive in Kathmandu and Kathmandu sorting out boats and necessary things for Kayak gears.
Day 3: Drive to Balebhi Khola a day warm up on the Balephi Khola.
Day 4-12: Start paddling the upper Sun koshi to Chatra (with raft support) every day set up new tented camp.
Day 13: Drive to from Chatra to Chitwan National Park stay at Lodge.
Day 15: Drive to pokhara with tourist bus/Private Bus, rest, recuperation and hotel.
Day 16: Drive to Nayapool and trek to the modi khola (towards Annapurna region) starting point stay at Lodge
Day 17: Early morning after brekfast start Paddle the upper modi khola to Nayapool then back to pokhara.

Suggested Itinerary 3

Kayaking clinic program- 4 days

Day 01: Drive to Seti river Put in point at Damauli (Put in point of Kayaking course), we provide you lunch and kayaking course starts. Camp overnight at riverbank

Day 02: After breakfast. Kayaking course begins passing throughout gentle rapids. We serve lunch around afternoon. and continue kayaking down to Siti River and Camp overnight at river bank.

Day 03: After breakfast Kayaking course starts passing throughout small friendly rapids. We serve lunch around afternoon. and continue kayaking down to Siti River and Camp overnight at river bank.

Day 04: After Seti river our team depart to Trishuli river, If you feel more confident on Seti River then your instructor recommend you in bigger rapids. After some kayaking through some exciting rapids of Trishuli depart you back to Kathmandu it takes around 4-4.30 hours

Trip Preparation and pre-departure meeting
Before heading every outdoor trip we would like to request to our guests to be gathered at our office for pre-departure meeting as it is also prime concern to introduce with our team-Trip Leader, Guides, trip staffs and other guests, complete official formalities, discuss about the trip system, timetable and other important matters to make your happy journey successful.

Equipments and Services we provide for the trip
Best quality self-bailing inflatable raft, Whitewater safety helmet, modern plastic paddle, neoprene-wetsuit, PFD-lifejacket, Dry top Jacket, Waterproof Container/Barrel for camera and valuables things, Dry bag, First-Aid Kits and Tents/mass fly sheet and sleeping mat, other necessary camping gear cooking utensils, hygienically prepared food and drinks.

Things you need to bring for the trip
River wear gear: shorts- half pant, T-shirts (long sleep for sun protection), swim wear, Sun Cap/Glass/Cream, personal water bottle, a pair of river sandals.

For the camp site wear: Personal sleeping bag, lightweight shirts, Trouser/pant, under garments socks, a towel, light shoe, Fleece type pullover, flash light, personal toiletries, camera, reading and writing materials, medication recommended by your doctor. 

Safety Issue
High Mountain Wave Trekking team takes safety issues very seriously for every rafting trip and believe every happy outdoor trip is a safe one. Our team members have updated training courses - AR/CPR, Wildness First-Aid and Whitewater Rescue Technician conducted by Rescue 3 International. Besides in every trip also provides expert safety kayaker for rescue and make your rafting journey with us more comfort and enjoyable.

Care of Environment
The care of environment is our prime concern responsibility to protect the wildness resources of Nepal for future generation. We practice and follow minimum impact polices on our every outdoor journey- by using gas or kerosene as a cooking fuel instead of local firewood. Moreover by disposing and cleaning both biodegradable and non-degradable properly from the campsite.
