Trip Itinerary

  • Phase 1: Arrival & Preparation (Kathmandu – 3 Days)
    Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m), briefing, and gear check.
    Day 2: Rest, permits, and cultural sightseeing (e.g., Swayambhunath, Boudhanath).
    Day 3: Fly to Pokhara (960m), drive to Darbang (1,180m).
  • Phase 2: Trek to Base Camp (10 Days)
    Day 4-5: Trek to Sibang (1,750m) and Jugapani (2,050m).
    Day 6-7: Ascend to Dobang (2,520m) and Italian Base Camp (3,660m).
    Day 8-9: Acclimatization at Italian BC, explore glacier moraines.
    Day 10: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,750m).
  • Phase 3: Acclimatization & High Camps (20 Days)
    Day 11-15: Rotations to Camp 1 (5,850m) and Camp 2 (6,400m).
    Day 16-20: Establish Camp 3 (7,400m), practice ice/rock techniques.
    Day 21-30: Weather-dependent summit pushes, rest periods.
  • Phase 4: Summit Push & Descent (7 Days)
    Day 31-35: Final ascent via Northeast Ridge, summit day (12-14 hrs).
    Day 36-37: Descend to Base Camp, pack up.
  • Phase 5: Return to Kathmandu (5 Days)
    Day 38-40: Trek back via Hidden Valley (5,115m) and Marpha (2,670m). Day 41: Fly from Jomsom to Pokhara, then to Kathmandu. Day 42: Debrief, celebration, and departure.

Trip Notes

  • Altitude Sickness – Proper acclimatization is critical above 5,000m.
