We trek from Lukla to Kalapatthar having its great scenery and spectacular panoramic views of the Himalayas including Mt. Everest. And then we return back experience with highlander Buddhist culture and the legends Yeti to Lukla and fly Kathmandu.
Your trekking preparation:
This trek is considered as a non-technical trek and suitable for average people. If you are moderately fit and have a sense of adventure will enjoy this trek. The program is designed to acclimatize you gradually and not expected high altitude sickness. However you are requested to check your altitude fitness and the itinerary.
We suggest you to strengthen your knee muscles and prepare for several days of steep descents. Some physical fitness programs such as running, swimming, biking or aerobics is recommended, but mostly hiking on steep hills or running up and down steps are preferable.
Please note that the following program is prepared in the fact basis however can be change in some circumstances but adjustments will have to made during the trekking. We request you to be flexible with the situation to enjoy yourself.
As the trek is designed for camping arrangement, everything is handled by our team of porters, sherpas and cooks who carry the equipment, assemble and dissemble the camp and have hot meals waiting for you at every food break.
Day 01: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding-2850m (3 hr)
Day 02: Trek to Namche bazar-3440m (3 hr)
Day 03: Acclimatization day in Namche
Day 04: Trek to Dole-4085m (5-6 hr)
Day 05: Trek to machhermo-4410m (6 hr)
Day 06: Trek to Gokyo-4750m (5 hr)
Day 07: Excursion to Gokyo Ri-5483m and return trek to Thangnak (7-8 hr)
Day 08: Trek to Chhukima Base Camp-4600m (7-8 hr)
Day 09: Trek to Jongla-4843m (6-7 hr) crossing over to Cho-La Pass-5200m
Day 10: Trek to Lobuche-4920m (4-5 hr)
Day 11: Trek to Gorakshep- (3-4 hr)
Day 12: Excursion to Kalapatthar-5545m and return to Pheriche-4400m (6-7 hr)
Day 13: Trek to Chukhung-4700m (4-5 hr)
Day 14: Trek to Island Peak high Camp-5600m (5-6 hr)
Day 15: Climb Island Peak Summit-6189m and return to Chukhung (6-7 hr)
Day 16: Spare day at Chukhung
Day 17: Trek to Dingboche-4360m (3-4 hr)
Day 18: Trek to Namche via Tengboche Monastery-2840m (4-5 hr)
Day 19: Trek to Phakding-2600m (5-6 hr)
Day 20: Trek ends at Lukla-2800m (3 hr)
Day 21: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
