Dudha Kunda Trekking (4190m.)

For those wanting a feel of the Khumbu region then the ascent of Pike Peak and visit to Dudh Kunda in the less-visited Solu region will be a cherished experience.

Lying just to the south of the Everest original Trail from Bhandar we pass through authentic Sherpa villages. From the Linkhu Khola we steadily climb through terraced fields, on the trail of hill region we find rhododendron and magnolia forest. We continue via a large Buddhist Monastery to a series of beautiful lakes of which Dudh Kunda (4190m) is the most revered.
In between the culture, beauty spots and typical villages there are forests of Rhododendrons (In March and April full with pink and crimson flowers!) pine, seamed with plants and shrubs.

Troops of monkeys live a happy life and we can spot deer and other animals. The snow peaks of Mt Everest (8848m), Makalu (8475m) Kanchenjunga (8598m) and many more peaks then Phapplu we will fly back to Kathmandu.

Day to day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing, overnight at Hotel
Day 03: Trekking Day 1: Kathmandu – Jiri by private Transports about 7 hours drive and overnight camp at Jiri (1955m)
Day 04: Trek to Shivalaya 5 hours walk (1770m) Camp
Day 05: Trek to Bhandar 6 hours walk (2190m) camp.
Day 06: Trek to Goli Gumbo 6-7 hours walk (2980m) camp.
Day 07: Trek to Ngaur 4 hours walk (3350m) camp.
Day 08: Trek To Pike Peak base camp (3350M) Approx 6 hours trek, night at the camp.
Day 09: Trekking to Junbesi (2670M): Approx 6 hours trekking, night at camp.
Day 10: Trek to Thupten Chooling (2930). Approx 3-4 hours trek.
Day 11: Trek To Saharsabeni (3340M): Approx 6-7 hours trekking, night at camp.
Day 12: Trek To Dudha Kunda (4190M): Approx 5-6 hours trekking, night at camp.
Day 13: Trek To Sarkari Pati (2860M): - Approx 6-7 hours trekking, night at camp.
Day 14: Trek To Phaplu (2470m): - Approx 6-7 hours trekking, night at camp.
Day 15: Flight out from Phaplu to Kathmandu, 35 minutes.

Cost includes:

• Airport transfer, accommodation in Kathmandu before trekking and after trekking.
• Sightseeing in Kathmandu valley with professional guide and private vehicle. Kathmandu to Jiri by bus.
• All Camping equipment: Tents, sleeping materials, mattresses.
• All necessary staff: guide, porters, Sherpas, cook and their allowance, insurance, salary, medical expenses.
• Kitchen gear, 3 meals per day prepared by our cook.
